In this edition, I interview Karolína from @hometobre. In her interior she combines neutrals with olive green. This results in a very calm, warm and natural vibe. You instantly feel zen when looking at her home! Find below her tips on how to also add more warmth to you home.

How would you describe your interior style?

My style is a minimalistic base of neutral and linear furniture. I’ve combined that with different textures, materials and colors. In that way, I can always change the look of the whole apartment. It’s difficult to put an exact label on the style.

How did you start with styling your home?

I studied architecture so I am dealing with design and interior for almost 10 years now. I have learned to visualize a lot of things in my head. Therefore, I often know what looks good together without creating a proper mood board. Sometimes I put two colors or materials (samples) together to see if they match for real.

Your home has a very warm and cozy feeling! What’s your tip for others to create that in their home too?

A home always needs something personal! It does not matter if it is a personal picture, some souvenirs from your travels or a heirloom from your family. Buying only design stuff and decoration seems often very flat, so a combination is a good start.

What are your must-have accessories for at home?

I love a nice vase and always fresh, seasonal flowers.
